April 24, 2018 UPDATE: 

IMPORTANT UPDATE FOR WESD FAMILIES: Breakfast and lunch will be served at all 32 schools on Thursday, April 26 as well as on any day that school campuses are closed. Any child, ages 1 to 18, can receive free breakfast and lunch at any WESD school. Children do not have to attend a WESD school to receive food. Adults may purchase breakfast or lunch for $3.50.
The WESD is also working on an amended childcare plan for WESD students during school closures. Please check back tomorrow for detailed information regarding childcare. As always, we thank you for your patience and understanding. #WESDFamily
UN MENSAJE IMPORTANTE PARA LAS FAMILIAS DEL WESD: Se servirá desayuno y almuerzo en todas las 32 escuelas el jueves, 26 de abril al igual que en cualquier día que las escuelas estén cerradas. Cualquier niño, de 1 a 18 años de edad, puede recibir desayuno y almuerzo gratis en cualquier escuela del WESD. Los niños no necesitan asistir a una escuela del WESD para recibir comida. WESD To Host Teacher Fairs

The Washington Elementary School District (WESD) will host a Teacher Interview Fair on Saturday, November 4, 2017 to hire teachers for the 2018-2019 school year. The fair will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the WESD Administrative Center, 4650 West Sweetwater Avenue, Glendale, 85304. Contracts for the 2018-2019 school year will be offered to qualified candidates. Student teachers, soon-to-be college graduates, seasoned teachers and alternative pathways are encouraged to attend! 

This is the first of six scheduled Teacher Interview Fairs. The others will take place at the same place and times, with the exception of March on: 

Saturday, December 16, 2017,
Saturday, January 20, 2018,
Saturday, February 24, 2018,
Thursday, March 15, 2018, 4 to 7:30 p.m.; and
Saturday, April 28, 2018. 

Interviews will be conducted for those interested in teaching: kindergarten, elementary education, special education, language arts, mathematics, science, social studies, general music, art and special needs preschool. Successful candidates may be recommended for a 2018-2019 teaching contract.
